Refund & Cancellation Policy
This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the terms under which customers may cancel or amend their chauffeur and private hire bookings with Canary Wharf Private Driver. Customers may cancel their booking up to 24 hours before the scheduled collection time and receive a full refund, provided the request is submitted in writing. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the collection time, as well as no-shows, are non-refundable because the driver and vehicle are reserved exclusively for the booking. Requests to change the booking details within 24 hours are subject to availability, may incur additional charges, and if changes cannot be accommodated, the booking will be treated as a cancellation.
If Canary Wharf Private Driver must cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances, such as vehicle breakdown, driver illness or unsafe weather conditions, customers will be offered either a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional cost. We are not responsible for delays or disruptions caused by factors beyond our control such as traffic, road closures, extreme weather, or flight delays, and refunds are not provided for such events, although every reasonable effort will be made to adjust the service where possible. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
This policy is designed in line with UK consumer protection principles, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015. As private driver services involve the allocation of a specific vehicle and driver for an agreed time slot, the 24-hour cancellation period is considered fair, reasonable, and enforceable under UK law. By making a booking, customers agree to all terms outlined in this Refund & Cancellation Policy.
